The petitioner wanted certain information from the Department of Co-operation regarding Senior Co-operative Inspector working in Dhubri District. He submitted a petition in that connection to the Commissioner & Secretary, Co-operation Department on 19.8.2006. When the information was not received by him within a month he approached this Commission with a complaint dated 25.9.2006. The Commission issued notice to the SPIO of the Department of Cooperation under section 18(2) of the RTI Act 2005 for conducting inquiry on the complaint and fixed today as date for hearing.

The complainant as well as the PIO of the Department of Co-operation are present.

Decision of the Commission:

The Commission has heard the parties. The PIO informs the Commission that the information as sought for by the complainant was furnished to him by post but it took 7 days to reach him as it was sent by post. The complainant acknowledges receipt of the information and expresses that he is satisfied with the information.

Hence the case is closed.
