The Secretary of the Commission placed before the Commission a letter dated 23.8.07 addressed to him by the Chairman, Sapatgram Town Committee, Sapatgram enclosing a copy of the order dated 20.8.07 of the Hon'ble Gauhati High Court staying the proceedings of this case.

On perusal of the order of the Hon'ble Gauhati High Court, the Commission decided to stay the proceedings of the Commission in this case until further orders.
